Resource Acquisition, Case Management Services and Child Welfare Prevention
Service Description
Our kinship caregiver support program is designed to support informal kinship caregivers, relatives and/or close family friends who provide care for children outside the formal foster care system. YWCCS’s goal is to offer comprehensive support that addresses the unique challenges faced by these caregivers, particularly within BIPOC communities. The Kinship Caregiver Support Program aims to: • Resource Connection: Provide access to local and statewide services, including financial assistance, healthcare, legal aid and educational support. • Case Management: Assist caregivers in navigating complex situations, ensuring they receive the support needed to provide stable and nurturing environments. • Child Welfare Prevention: Strengthen the support system for informal caregivers, we aim to decrease the likelihood of children entering the formal foster care system
